Career Advice to My Younger Self:
Learn something new every day and try to learn something from everyone you meet! You are who you are because of the people you surround yourself with!

Favorite Place in the World?
The Boundary Waters! My wife and I try to make a yearly trip with friends and are looking forward to our kids being old enough to bring them along. We love disconnecting and the soaking in the solace of the beautiful wilderness!

Biggest Influence?
My dad! He instilled in me the values of hard work and a positive attitude. One of his favorite quotes (from Charles Swindoll) that I hold dear: “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life…It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill…The remarkable thing is that we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day.”

What would you do if you weren’t a dermatologist?
If I wasn’t in medicine I think I would have been a high school teacher and coach! My teachers and coaches were some of the most impactful people in my life!
