Is there a safe way to tan?

No! Any tan is a sign of ultraviolet damage to the skin cells DNA. Tanning from the sun or indoor tanning devices, including a base tan, increases your risk of skin cancer. UV damage from the sun also causes signs of premature aging, including wrinkles and age spots. I recommend wearing sunscreen, especially mineral sunscreens that contain zinc or titanium, everyday.

Spray tans or self-tanning products, however, work completely differently, do not cause DNA damage to the cells, and as far as we know are completely safe!

Tanceuticals is a safe and effective self-tanning product.

How Tanceuticals Makes You Tan Without The Sun
Apply Tanceuticals mousse at night and 6-8 hours later you wake up with a gorgeous, natural-looking tan that doesn’t wash off. And you never spend a second in the sun or a tanning bed!

The secret is an all-natural tanning ingredient called DHA (dihydroxyacetone). This ingredient interacts with the dead skin cells on the outermost layer of your skin. This reaction actually gives those cells a beautiful bronze color.

It’s completely safe and lasts until all those dead skin cells are eventually sloughed off– about 5-7 days.

Also Improves Your Skin!
Here’s what really sets Tanceuticals apart from all the other self tanners out there! In addition to the tanning ingredient that turns your skin bronze, there are tons of healthy cosmeceuticals in the formula that improve the quality of your skin. Ingredients like Argan Oil, Acai Berry and Shea Butter give your skin these added benefits:

            • Moisturizes and Nourishes Dry Skin
            • Evens and Smooths Skin
            • Tone Firms, Tones and Tightens
            • Protects Against and Repairs Premature Aging
            • Minimizes Appearance of Wrinkles

But Is It Safe?
Absolutely! The main tanning ingredient in Tanceuticals self tanners, DHA, has been approved by the FDA since 1972. That means it’s been used in these types of products for over 40 years! In addition, organizations like the Mayo Clinic, Skin Cancer Foundation, and American Academy of Dermatology all recommend self tanners like Tanceuticals over sun exposure or tanning beds.
