Dr. Reid was raised in Northfield, Minnesota, where she also attended St. Olaf College. She earned her medical degree at Northwestern Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, where she also obtained a master’s degree in Medical Humanities and Bioethics. Dr. Erika Reid completed her dermatology residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, focusing on complex medical and general dermatology as well as pediatric dermatology at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania. She has been awarded international grants and scholarships to study tropical dermatological diseases in Uganda and India. She served as the resident representative on both the Board of the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and the Congressional Policy Committee for the American Academy of Dermatology.
